CommunityShare Summer Design Lab
Start your school year with a plan and the strategies to engage your community and bring learning to life.
This summer, we’re bringing together PreK-12 educators from across the country for a half-day workshop where we’ll help you transform your ideas into authentic, community-engaged learning experiences that truly engage students.
Together, we’ll explore community partnerships and learn how to design meaningful community-engaged learning experiences that ignite student engagement and build on what you already teach.
A draft or completed community-engaged learning project — ready for your school year!
Practical planning tools, real classroom examples, and strategies you can use now and all year long
A strong CommunityShare profile, skills, and strategies to find and connect with partners confidently
Continued support from the CommunityShare team throughout the school year
5 hours of professional development

All sessions are offered virtually 8:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. PT / 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET. Sign up by June 20 to join us this summer.

“I used to feel anxious and overwhelmed about establishing community partnerships, but now I trust in myself more to engage in lasting, meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders that deepen students’ understanding of unit questions.”
– Jacey de la Torre, Educator Fellow
“I’ve had these little road maps, but I’ve never had the vehicle. And I feel like CommunityShare has provided this vehicle of connection and support and being tied to other invested educators who also are there, cheering me on.”
– Stephanie Cook, Educator
“I remember feeling so overwhelmed… I walked away with a quality unit that I can’t wait to share.”
– Lisa, Educator
