Instructional Rain Garden

School staff were able to work with partners from the Watershed Management Group to assess current and potential use of a rainwater cistern at the school.

The partnership led to installation of a rain garden in front of the school that then enhanced instruction for K-2 classes. For example, students were able to observe caterpillars turn into butterflies and then release the butterflies into the garden with the newly planted flowering plants for pollinators.
